Embracing the Future....

Friday was Freshman Orientation at my work, then I headed home to have dinner with Becca. Becca and I used to work together, but now she lives in Dallas. We enjoyed great convo, BBQ, a ride on the boat, and the best broccoli ever. Saturday we woke up early to hit the lake before it was too hot. We picked up Tony and Jake and headed out to fish. After a great 4 hours of fishing Aaron dropped Tony and Jake back at their house and we headed back out on the lake. We ate a great lunch on the boat. Gotta love PB&J's sandwiches. Then we feel asleep to the peacefulness of the world around us. After a great day on the lake we headed in before the rain. It is Sunday, Aaron went to work for a few hours and then we are headed to Bravo for my Birthday Lunch. Until next time: Too BIrthday Candles and Riding the Waves...

We spent most of our time on the lake this weekend. I wish I knew how to get pictures from your cell phone to your computer, if you do not pay to have the Internet on your phone. I took some great pictures of Jake and Aaron fishing. I even caught a fish by accident. We enjoy a great morning of fishing on Saturday, lunch at Castaways, more swim time with AB's Bro's family, snacks on the boat, ice creams cone to help with the sun burns and a great dinner of Mac & Cheese with Broccoli- my favorite!!! Sunday started off with a bang. Down into the city to help Phil and Sherry with disposing of their brush, a shop at Hyvee, a stop by at Rudy's house, a good lunch and then back to the lake. I love floating in the water watching the boats, hearing the waves or not so waves, drinking cold water, races around the boat and the wind in my hair. In September, Aaron and I are off to Boston for 6 days. We have always wanted too! Not only are we excited about getting to see Boston and Amesbury, I cannot wait to see old friends and meet their 3 year old Sonja(Ken and Rachel: I meet back in 2003 in SE ASIA- they are great. They made the trip down to visit for our wedding and we have been trying to get NorthEast to see them for over 4 years). We are staying with Ken, Rachel and Sonja for a few days before heading into the city. Until next time: Too Old Friends and Great Memories!

After a great dinner at JackStack BBQ, the cousins headed out for a couple drinks and Aaron and I learn what "being iced meant". Saturday we were blessed with great sunny weather and more time with the family. Andy, Lauren and Phil D came up to go swimming and hang on the lake. Bessie ventured out on the lake with 7people, 42 beers, 8 big bottles of water, pretzels and all the great memories in the world. We had a great time yesterday. We were on the lake from 11am to 6pm. Then Jamie, Blake, Aaron and I made dinner and then play a mean hand of domino's before we headed outside to look at the stars and enjoy the smell of cigar smoke. I truly love how cigars smell. I love three day weekends. This weekend was packed full of family BBQ's/reunion, fireworks shopping with Jacob, lakeside living with Mitchell and Claire-We love them-(might I add we did see a prego women smoking: somethings never cease to amaze me), meat markets, a simply lovely dip of ice cream, a 17mile bike ride, a great talk with Amy, a 3 mile run and a walk around old town with Jillian and Jacob. It was a great weekend. Not mention a great movie night on Friday and a movie with a friend yesterday. It was a rainy forth were we live. Aaron and Tony were trying to shot off fireworks in their swim trunks and the little kids were enjoying the new umbrella's Melissa bought them. Another short week for me, my cousin Blake and his faince Jamie are in town this weekend. G-Ma and I have some exciting stuff planned for the two love birds.
