After a snow filled week the snow followed us into the weekend. We were lucky enough to get out on Saturday and go for a walk around the neighborhood. Lately, as AB and I get closer to parenthood ourselves- we wonder if parents ever learn to treat their children like the adults they have become. Where compromise and adult discussion become in play, instead of demands and orders. Where ultimatums are no longer valid and as families grow being reminded that the rolls are changing. Their children are becoming parents themselves and they are now in the roll of grandparents. Also, do parents often realize their children are very different in how they dream, pick a mate, parent, ideals of family time, setting goals and interactions with others. Shedding the mold parents have set for their children and allowing them be find their our way and being happy in the person their child has become- weather or not that is the person they had dreamed about so long ago; when they were holding their baby...

This weekend was jammed packed. We started out early Saturday morning at our Child Birthing all day class. After 8 hours of learning about what the birthing process is like, we headed to my rents for a quick dinner before heading to Visitation Church for Kristin and Andrew's Wedding. The reception followed at the Sacarritt Hotel. It was a great night. Here are some pictures: Sunday we started the day with French Toast and Coffee- Yummy- Now the Bears are playing in the playoffs. This weekend AB and I played around home, with the winter MO weather if full force. We spent Friday night grocery shopping, Saturday we headed into the city for a trip to Costco, the bank and then back home for some football. After a quick nap we got ready to have dinner with friends Wads and Amanda. Here is a picture of us before dinner: We enjoy a great evening at Justice Drug Store- yummy. Sunday we spent the day with the Toma's and trying to watch football the game was really bad. This week is busy, busy: two late nights at work, a doctor visit, then Saturday we have our all day child birthing class, Spence's wedding and who know what else the week will hold. We continue to be blessed beyond our wildest dreams. Until next time: To babies playing in rib cages and great convo's with friends.

AB and I were very blessed this year to spend loads of time with family and friends this holiday season. Starting the season off with a party at Allison's parents house, then a surprise baby shower with 4 of my oldest friends and to top it off a wedding shower for Hollabaugh. Hope to upload more pictures soon... Happy 2011 to everyone: Here in mid-America it is very cold, but sunny. We have no complaints. After a brisk walk we are enjoying Bears Football. AB and I spent a weekend mostly at home. Friday night we had dinner at McCormick and Schmick's in the plaza , with AB's boss. Yummy Yummy....Then Saturday was spent lounging around. Pancakes for breakfast, two really bad movies, food shopping, too much time in Home Depot and a great limeade. Sunday was football, homemade chili, long walk around the lake, warm-crackling fire, Christmas stories, and yummy decaf coffee by the cup full. A short work week is upon us. Our new dishwasher will be arriving on the 23rd, party at the Loftus, Christmas at both family's over the weekend. Very excited!! Until Next Time: Too Hanging Stockings and Being Thankful....
