Embracing the Future....

As May went by quicker than April, I am in the office tomorrow. AB and I celebrated our 5th anniversity in Weston, Mo with Scotty B this past weekend. We walked the trails, shopped the shops, enjoyed a pinic lunch: filled with wine, cheese, yummy homemade bread, and meats. A trip to the old school soda shop and then dinner at a local pizza shop. We are trully blessed. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks:

Look at our big boy sitting up in his car seat on the way to lunch with auntie Lauren. We are enjoying our time with our son. I have a week left, before I head back to work part time for 6 weeks. Wondering were the time has gone and I have loved every sleepless second I have been able to spend at home with our son. We are truly blessed. Until next time: May Flowers and long walks....

We have been enjoying our new little bundle of joy, but do not leave him too long with Auntie Lauren because look what happens- She is already playing dress up. AB felt left out and had to get in on the action. Here is a great picture of our little guy mastering his special bottle. Look how long he is getting. As Friday rolls around we are excited for another weekend together as a family. Mother's day is upon us and the my Mom, sister and I are going to get nails done on Saturday for the special day. Only 2 1/2 more weeks left until this new mommy has to go back to work. Part time for 6 weeks. Mixed feels about leaving our son, but excited none the less to get back to work. My dearest oldest friend was married 2 weeks after Scott Basil was born. I was suppose to be a bridesmaid in her wedding - it made for a very bittersweet Spring. Here are a few pictures of the Happy Couple: We are off to visit the happy couple in early November. This past weekend my grandparents (Scott and Pat- on my mom's side) came to visit. It was a good old tim; we had Italian for lunch. Plus, Mom made some amazing ginger snap cookies for desert. I think Scott is the 4 or 5 Scott on my grandfather's side. It was pretty cool to see them meet. Here are a few pictures of the family. Until next time: To hour naps and loving on Scotty B

Our little bundle of joy has arrived. Actually he arrived Sunday, March 27 at 1:58 pm. We delivered at St. Lukes on the Plaza and we were able to have a natural birth with no drugs. We named our little boy Scott Basil- after our grandfathers. (Scott is my Grandpa's name and Basil is AB's grandpa's name). The birth went very well, I walked around the birthing floor until I was 10 inch and then we broke the water and that is when everything changed. Scott had pooped in the womb. The NCIU was called and mom began to push. Scott was born 2 hours later and looked a shade of gray/purple. Very scary. Dad and Scott were quickly taken in the the NCIU, while mom stayed to birth the placenta. Not knowing she would not get to hold her baby boy until 3am the next day. Long story short. After 36 hours in the NCIU Scott was doing fine. Though he had lost over a pound and 3 oz since his birth weight. He was not taking to the breast. Then the lactation nurse, discovered Scott was missing hi...

We are 39 weeks today give our take a few days. So, as our doctor says any day now. This week has been busy at work and at home. We are trying to finish our taxes and get the boat out this weekend before Baby B comes. I treated myself to a pedicure with my mom and sister on Tuesday that was good fun. Nothing much going on with us just excitingly awaiting the arrive of Baby B. Hope all is well for everyone around the world. Until next time: To decaf coffee and green beers!!!!
