Memorial Weekend
I love three day weekends, they truly are a blessed from God. The weekend for Aaron and I was filled with a little shopping, lots of coffee, biking in the pouring rain, and a loads of long walks. At night we day dreams about our trip next June to Florida, and our fee small weekend get aways for the summer and fall. We are planning to canoe with good friends Darby and Eric at the end of June. We plan to canoe to Missouri River, which I have never canoed before. Excited is an understatement. Though the coolest part is not only does our campsite have a canoeing, but it Katy Trail is right outside our door. Aaron and I plan to bring our bikes and ride on Sunday.
Enough of that, I wanted to tell everyone the story of the weekend. Aaron and I thought we could beat the rain Saturday morning, so we headed out for a 10 mile bike ride. We were about half way done when it started to sprinkle a little. I laughed and told Aaron I beat it pours before we get home. Sure enough ten minutes later 4 miles away from home the rain clods opened up and it poured. We were soaking wet from head to toe. The rain was the kind of rain that you had to blink to keep the water out of your eyes. I have never laughed so hard in my life. There we are in the pouring rain, riding our bikes and having the time of our lives.
Take care :)
