Katy Trail 2009
Aaron and I headed out on Friday night to Rocheport, MO. We stayed at the School House B&B for the night. Then we headed off to the Katy Trail in the morning. We are on our way to Jefferson City, MO. 36.5 miles each way. The weather was amazing, we were truly blessed. We encounter fallen trees along the way and enjoyed the peacefulness of being out on a trail with no one around for miles. We climbing Eagle's Outlook Post, we peaked into a dark cave, and enjoyed a quite lunch. We got into Jefferson City by 2:30pm and made our way to the Cliff Manor B&B (we love this place). After a much needed shower, we made our way to this local pub for fried portabella mushrooms with ranch- love it-- Aaron enjoyed a steak, while I enjoyed a salad. After dinner we walked around the capital and then enjoyed a little Star Wars movie back at the B&B. Thom and his wife Liz made us an amazing breakfast, with quiche, homemade bread and yummy fruit. They also packed us a huge lunch for day 2 on the trail. Here are some pictures of the weekend adventure.
