A Weekend Get Away
A small town trip. This past weekend we spent with my grandparents in Herington, KS. Friday night I ran with Brooke;then AB and I enjoyed a quite dinner at home. Saturday we were up early to make our way to Herington, KS- a small town 2 & 1/2 hours Southwest of our place. We drank coffee and sang songs for most of the morning. We were greeted with lunch, shopping downtown, puzzle mania, and good old mac-cheese dinner.
We woke up early on Sunday for a 4mile run around the town. Then enjoy great homemade biscuits and gravy, before heading back home. We stop on the way to do a little shopping, before we headed home for good. It was a rainy day, we spent the rest of the afternoon by the fire and doing laundry. Another busy week ahead of us: 2 hard wood floor estimates, a trip to the Dentist, a big work event for me and to top it off a Barton family dinner on Friday after work for October birthdays'.
