A Rain of a Weekend...

The cool weather is back and with it came rain. It was a misty Saturday and a cold rainy Sunday this weekend. Friday was a 1/2 day for me, I meet the plumber and now we have refreshing drinking water straight from the tap. Then we grabbed a quick bite before heading down to watch the Mayor's Christmas tree light up and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate before heading back home.

Saturday was a jammed packed day. Jacob came over to play while Tony and Aaron worked on the boat. He is such a great kid. Then we headed to the recycling center, before we made our way back into the city. Aaron and Phil had some yard work to do, while mom and I were busying making homemade black bean soup. We enjoyed our trip to Pryde's and Costco. Later we gobbled down a great soup, cornbread, brownie dinner.

Sunday we ventured out in the rain for a quick 3 mile run, before our friends Laura and Burton stop by for the afternoon. We enjoyed playing marbles eating, eating and more eating. The rest of the evening was spent by the fire day dreaming about vacations and where to go next!

One more week of classes left before holiday break, then a quick 2 day week and a nice long 5 day weekend. We have Barton Turkey day this coming Sunday, and maybe an engagement party next Friday. The weekends are filling up as the holiday season is almost upon us.

Until next time: hot teas and crackling fires!!
