Embracing the Future....

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding over the holiday weekend. Justin and Margaret where married on Dec. 30, 2006. My parents wedding anniversary. The weekend was fully of fun and laughter. The rehearsal dinner was at a local BBQ restaurant and the wedding was at a Church down town and most of the weekend was spent with friends (Brooke, Adam, Molly, Sarah and Colin). We were able to meet a lot of people who love both Justin and Margaret it was a blast. Here are a couple pictures. The pictures are from the rehearsal dinner and the lady's tea time. Sarah and Colin (Boyfriend and Girlfriend). Sarah, Brooke, Elizabeth and Kristen (Elizabeth and Kristen are friends of Margaret's ). Adam, Brooke and Molly( Adam and Brooke Engaged, getting married Feb 07, and Molly high school friend).

Aaron and I have finished our Christmas shopping and are excited to spend this weekend with family and friends. The weekend was filled with shopping, a movie, and steak dinners. My brother turned 19 on Wednesday and we celebrated by going out to dinner at the Herford House. Then rest of the weekend was filled with football and cleaning. We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. We have a Wedding and New Years Eve plans. So, I should be able to update with pictures later on this month. Cheers.

This fall has been full of ups and downs. Courses for me are going well, which is a shock. Though Aaron and My friends of the family need every ones prayers this Fall. Our friend Darby Joe (Aaron's Life long friend) Mother had cancer and a brain tumor in October. Surgery went well, and they are hoping for the best. So, everyone please pray for them. A girlfriend of mine from High-School Brooke, her father has been sick off and on for some time now. Things are not looking good. Brooke and Adam her fiancee are to be married in Feb. 07 and her sister Beth is due with a baby boy later in Dec.06. Life is so bitter sweet. I ask for every one's prayers for Brooke and her family in their time of need. Jesus never ceases to amazing me. Lord Jesus I ask you for your strength for Brooke's and Darby's families durng their times of need.

Thanksgiving is always an eventful time of year for Aaron and I. Trying to figure out where to go from turkey dinner. We decided to stay in KC and have thanksgiving with my side of the family this year. I took the whole week off, a much needed break. Aaron and I put our Christmas tree up over the holiday break. It is beautiful, we bought old time lights and sleigh bells and candy canes are covering the tree. We spent the weekend in St. Joe with Aaron's family. We played my favorite game marbles with Aaron's grandparents and parents on Friday night. Then the rest of the weekend was spent decorating the house with Christmas lights and snowmen, from Becky's snowman collection. I love this time of year. I hope every one's holiday was good. The plaza lights are on and soon old friends will be back again for Christmas and a wedding in late December. All is well here in KC.

I went to Dallas for a ladies weekend in the first of November. Six of my girl friends and I went to celebrate Margaret's bachelorette weekend. We went to a dueling piano bar, Fire Side grill (one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas). Then the Dallas mall for some shopping. It was a good time full of laughter and old friends. The first picture above is of all of the girls who went down to Dallas. The second picture is of me, Molly, Sarah, and Margaret. The picture below is Molly, me , and Brooke we are having dinner at a local Mexican restaurant .

For Liz the month of June was filled with studying. Four days after the honeymoon I started a summer course. Aaron filled his days with work. July was a little more eventful. We took a trip to St. Louis to visit friends (Brooke and Adam). We went to the local brewery, played board games, and ate a lot of food. In July, Liz turned 25. Yes I am only 5 years away from thirty. Aaron and I went to a local restaurant called Jardines. There is live jazz music and great food. Here is a picture of us before we left for dinner. We went with Aaron's family. They loved it. Jardines web cite is : www.jardines4jazz.com . If you are ever in Kansas City, it is the place to go for premier Jazz. In late August before Liz started backto school we went canoeing. We went to the NRO camp ground in Southern, MO. We had a blast, we canoed 8 miles down the Niangua River. Good Times.

On day 5 we spent most of the day laying on the beach by our hotel. Then we went shopping for some odds and ins. We went on a sunset cruise that evening and watched local dancers on the boat. We had a blast on our honey-moon. Love is in the air.
